Get answers to common questions about Brazilian (First Time).
Trim or allow hair to be about 1/4 inch long, avoid heavy exfoliation 24–48 hours before, skip lotions or oils, and arrive clean. Tell your esthetician about medications or sensitive skin so they can adapt technique for comfort.
Some discomfort is normal, but our estheticians use fast, precise technique to minimize pain. Numbing products are available upon request, and most clients report less sensitivity at follow-up visits as hair thins and tolerance improves.
Results typically last three to six weeks, depending on hormones, hair growth cycle, and aftercare. Regular waxing every 4–6 weeks often yields finer regrowth and longer smooth periods over time.
You can usually receive a Brazilian during light bleeding if you’re comfortable, but many prefer to reschedule first-time appointments during heavy flow. Bring protection and communicate with your esthetician about comfort and hygiene preferences.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Use gentle cleansers, apply recommended soothing products, exfoliate after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs, and follow any specific product guidance from your esthetician.
Contraindications include active skin infections, open wounds, recent sunburn, use of Accutane within six months, or certain blood-thinning medications. Pregnancy and most medications should be disclosed so your esthetician can assess safety and recommend alternatives if needed.
