Get answers to common questions about Brazilian Maintenance.
We recommend maintenance every four to six weeks depending on your hair growth rate and personal comfort. Clients with finer regrowth can extend intervals, while faster cycles may benefit from four-week visits. Your esthetician will recommend the best schedule for you.
Yes. Maintenance visits are generally gentler because regrowth is finer and sparser, allowing quicker, less irritating removal. Our estheticians also use techniques and hypoallergenic wax to minimize discomfort. Numbing options or aftercare can further reduce sensitivity if needed.
Aim for about a quarter inch (about six millimeters) of regrowth so wax can grip hair properly. Too short causes patchy results; too long may require brief trimming. Your esthetician will trim if needed.
Maintenance is reserved for returning clients who already have a full Brazilian baseline. If you've never had a professional Brazilian, book an initial full Brazilian appointment so we can establish the correct technique and baseline before scheduling maintenance sessions.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours. Wear breathable, loose clothing and avoid scented products or exfoliation for 48 hours. Apply recommended soothing lotions and exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and maintain smoothness.
Yes. Consistent waxing helps weaken hair follicles, promoting finer regrowth and reducing the likelihood of ingrown hairs. Combined with proper exfoliation and aftercare, maintenance appointments significantly lower ingrown occurrences. Your esthetician will provide targeted advice if you are prone to ingrowns.
