Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Full Bikini.

A Full Bikini removes more hair than a standard bikini line but stops short of a Brazilian, which removes most or all pubic hair. At Skin by Lisa, Full Bikini offers broader coverage while preserving more natural shaping and modesty.

Some discomfort is normal as hair is removed from the root, but our estheticians use quick technique, premium wax, and calming pre-care to lessen pain. Avoid caffeine and exfoliate gently beforehand; we also apply soothing post-care to reduce irritation.

Ideally hair should be about a quarter to a half inch long (roughly two to three weeks of growth) so the wax can grip effectively. If hair is too short, wait; if too long, trim slightly for faster, more comfortable removal.

Before your appointment, arrive clean, avoid heavy lotions, and consider a gentle exfoliation 48 hours prior. After waxing, avoid hot baths, saunas, tight clothing, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Use recommended soothing products and exfoliate lightly after several days to prevent ingrown hairs.

Most clients return every four to six weeks depending on individual hair growth and preference. Regular waxing can lead to finer regrowth and longer intervals between appointments. We'll recommend a schedule based on your hair type and desired maintenance level.

Certain conditions—active skin infections, open wounds, recent sunburns, or recent surgery—may contraindicate waxing. Blood-thinning medications or certain retinoid/topical prescriptions can increase sensitivity. Disclose medical history and medications during booking so we can advise alternatives or recommend physician clearance.
