Get answers to common questions about Underarm.
Most clients report brief, manageable discomfort during Underarm waxing; experienced estheticians work quickly. A typical session lasts about 10–15 minutes. Pain usually decreases with repeat treatments and we provide soothing aftercare to minimize sensitivity.
Hair typically begins to regrow after three to six weeks, varying by individual growth cycles. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and thin hair over time. Avoid shaving between appointments to maintain smooth results and reduce ingrown hair risk.
Please arrive with clean, product-free underarms; deodorant or perfume can interfere with wax adhesion and increase irritation. If needed, we will gently cleanse the area before waxing to ensure the best results and minimize sensitivity.
Trim if hair is very long, but keep at least ¼ inch (about 5–7 mm) for effective waxing. Exfoliate 48 hours before, avoid sun and strong topical retinoids, and arrive clean and deodorant-free for optimal results.
Common side effects include temporary redness, tenderness, and mild swelling. Ingrown hairs can occur without proper exfoliation. Rare complications like infection or bruising are unlikely with professional hygiene and technique. Discuss medications, allergies, or skin conditions before treatment.
Most clients return every three to six weeks depending on personal hair growth. Consistent scheduling helps thin regrowth and shortens future appointments. Your esthetician will recommend an ideal interval based on your hair type and lifestyle.
